Dave was one of the few people that you just could not find anything bad to say about him. He was just the loveliest man ever and I feel very privileged that he was a friend of mine. I frequently run with him and against him in races because we achieved similar times for some years. I went on trading weekends with him as part of Preston Harriers. I cycled with him as part of a friendship group and he was always just so friendly and amusing. We had dinner together a few times and I just loved his company. His passing is just so very very sad.
